A traditional atmosphere welcomes tourists and racers who will appear at the 2023 F1 Powerboat Lake Toba.
The cultural and artistic atmosphere has been felt since at Sisingamangaraja XII Airport, in North Tapanuli, North Sumatra.
The 2023 F1 Powerboat World Championship will be held in Lake Toba, North Sumatra, February 25-26 2023.
Since February 16 2023, the 2023 Lake Toba Powerboat F1 delegation has arrived in Indonesia via Soekarno-Hatta Airport,to then continue the flight to King Sisingamangaraja XII Airport.
On Sunday (19/2/2023), Director General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Maria Kristi and Main Director of AP II Muhammad Awaluddin,
also welcomed the arrival of H2O Senior Vice President Lavinia Sanzovo Cavallero at Raja Sisingamangaraja XII Airport.
The arrival of the delegation at King Sisingamangaraja XII Airport was greeted by the Tor Tor dance and the hanging of the ulos cloth.
As of 20 February 2023, the number of delegates departing from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Raja Sisingamangaraja XII Airport has reached 95 people.
The delegates also arrived via Kualanamu Airport in Deli Serdang (North Sumatra) and continued their journey overland to the venue location in North Tapanuli. Raja Sisingamangaraja XII Airport in North Tapanuli, which is about 30 minutes from the race location, is also one of the main entry points for domestic and foreign tourists.
PT Angkasa Pura II emphasized that his party also introduced the rich culture and arts of the archipelago, ahead of the 2023 Lake Toba F1 Powerboat.
One of them is presenting a number of arts, ornaments, and replicas of the Bolon House and the Batak King Statue at Sisingamangaraja XII Airport,in North Tapanuli, North Sumatra.
"AP II has made King Sisingamangaraja XII Airport a showcase for culture and tourism.
This airport is the main gate for travelers to go to the F1 Powerboat arena," said Angkasa Pura II Main Director Muhammad Awaluddin, Tuesday (22/2/2023).
"Thousands of domestic tourists and foreign tourists will come through the airport, and this is the right momentum in promoting local culture," explained Awaluddin.
"Tourists who have just landed at Raja Sisingamangaraja XII Airport can immediately find a replica of Rumah Bolon.
"AP II also presents Gorga art ornaments which are the typical art of the Toba Batak people and routinely displays local musical performances complete with traditional musical instruments played by local artists.
"We hope that the culture and arts displayed at King Sisingamangaraja XII Airport can strengthen our sense of pride as an Indonesian nation and help strengthen the spirit of diversity," said Awaluddin.
