The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) has been observed strengthening again this week, where the JCI has strengthened for three consecutive weeks.
So far this week, the Indonesian benchmark stock market index has strengthened 0.18% point-to-point (ptp), lower than the previous week's position which strengthened 0.35%.
Meanwhile, during trading on Friday (4/2/2023), the JCI also closed up 0.31% to 6,911.73. JCI was eventually traded again at the psychological level of 6,900. Meanwhile, the JCI touched the psychological level of 6,900 last on December 27, 2022 trading.
On daily basis throughout this week, the JCI tends to be bright, even though it was corrected earlier this week.
During the week, the JCI transaction value reached IDR 43.3 trillion. Unfortunately, foreign investors are recorded to have carried out a net sell of IDR 714.02 billion in the regular market this week.
According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), there were at least six stocks that became top gainers this week, which experienced a significant increase of more than 27%.

The shares of a nickel mining issuer, namely PT PAM Mineral Tbk (NICL) lead the top gainers this week, where NICL shares soared 43.01% this week.
During last Friday's trading, NICL's shares closed up 18.75% to Rp 266/share. The transaction value of NICL's shares last Friday reached Rp 72.81 billion. Meanwhile this week, the transaction value reached IDR 179.2 billion.
Apart from that, there are also shares of the issuer retailer that owns the Alfamidi franchise, namely PT Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk (MIDI), which jumped 36.6% this week. However, during last Friday's trade, MIDI shares closed down 6.9% to IDR 4,180/share.
Just for information, MIDI will conduct a stock split or stock split with a ratio of 1:10 and will then issue 461.17 million new shares via a right issue or Preemptive Rights (HMETD).
For this reason, the company will ask for the approval of shareholders through the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on February 17.
Apart from that, several stocks managed to shoot high and become the top gainers this week. Several stocks also fell by almost 30% and became the top losers this week.

The shares of the issuer of transportation services, namely PT Batavia Prosperindo Trans Tbk (BPTR), lead the ranks of the top losers this week. BPTR shares were observed to have fallen 29.41%.
During trading last Friday, BPTR shares also closed down by 6.49% to Rp. /144 shares and touched the lower auto reject limit (ARB) yesterday.
It is not yet known with certainty the cause of the correction in BPTR shares.
